About Darcy Van Orden
Darcy Van Orden, aka (DVO) has spent her career in Talent Acquisition, consulting and technology since 2003. Originally from the DC area, where she attended George Mason University and received her Degree in Criminology. After college she launched her career in technical headhunting for national employers within IT, Engineering, manufacturing and healthcare .
She moved her family to Utah, back in 2006 for a better quality of life. Darcy has deep roots in the community since her parents were both originally from Utah. She has managed to keep connected in both the DC area and west while making her home in Utah.
Darcy loves listening to music, going to festivals, traveling with her beautiful daughter and believes in giving back to the community. Darcy serves on several nonprofit boards and is involved with many philanthropic efforts including work with the homeless, community civil rights initiatives, development and projects in Africa. Darcy founded Utah Justice Coalition which works to reduce incarceration and recidivism, its work includes reentry programs for former inmates post jail and prison. She has been able to utilize her staffing background to assist people in finding work as convicted felons.
Gravitating more towards a technical wheelhouse over the years, Darcy became fascinated by disruptive technologies having visited SpaceX and seeing their 3D Printers creating rocket parts. She started attending local tech meetups covering the topics of AI, VR, Crypto and Blockchain, seeking to connect and collaborate on projects. Seeing the impact and practical application of Blockchain, she began working with Ubitquity.io to promote recording residential and commercial title onto Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain).
Darcy officially launched DVO Consulting to offer business consulting within disruptive technologies which are changing the world including Artificial intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain, DevOps and Machine Learning.
Utah has become a mecca for IT start ups and technical firms, it’s exciting to play a role in the future growth of silicon slopes and disruptive technology projects nationwide.
